What is an astrology transit?
A transit is a relationship between a moving planet and a point in your natal chart. Astrologers interpret the planet, angle, and chart placement together. The interpretation is symbolic, not a prediction that a particular event will occur.
Two people with the same Sun sign can have different Moon signs, Rising signs, and other placements. Comparing the sky with an individual chart gives more context than grouping everyone under one Sun sign.

Astrocurious uses the Tropical zodiac and the Porphyry house system. Porphyry divides each quadrant between the chart's four angles into three parts. A chart from an app using another house system can have different house placements even with the same birth details.
